Hey guyz! This is our first blog post in history so pleeeaase inform us if you have any suggestions!!! Here's a summary of our trip to Pulau Langkawi, Malaysia from August to August :)
This was actually a trip we had planned together with our friends but we had never actually planned it all out until last June in 2017. So when it actually happen it was literally like a dream came true! XD Starting from the left of the picture is Min Yu, Chen Xin, Rebecca, Min Xuen, Phoebe and Cheryl :)
It has been years since we actually visited Langkawi so it was just like returning into our childhood memories! By the way, Langkawi is actually Rebecca's hometown so she is our official tour guide XD! It's also the first time we have actually travelled with our friends and what else could I say? It was definitely one of the best trip of my life!
Day 1
It was already 6 pm when we reached our destination since our flight was delayed. And since it was the peak of a rainy season, we were welcomed by a downpour of rain! Luckily Becky's (a.k.a. Rebecca's) mom was there to pick us up and within a minute, we were swept into the cars of her parents and were on the way to her house which was where we would be staying during the trip (the benefit of having a friend who lives there lol)
After settling in, we took off to a nearby supermarket where we could buy lots of duty free goods. Remember to buy chocolates there since it is duty free! The sugar drops there is also a must!
Apple cider
Day 2
We were woken up early in the morning around 7am (thanks to an overexcited Chen Xin) to start our journey on a boat trip. It cost around RM120 a boat so it will be better to go in a group. We went to a bat cave, a mangrove forest, a fish raring aquarium and fed some eagles which were all wonderful experiences.
Remember to bring a flashlight if possible to the bat cave as it is really dark inside. You can rent one as well. LOL Rebecca is feeding the eagles meat. P.S. it IS bloody and it smells, so much it had literally made us gagged. It's a wonder why the eagles would even eat them! (btw you can buy the meat at a counter at the fish raring place)
We went to the beach and SERIOUSLY it was the whitest and cleanest beach i have ever seen in Malaysia! To be honest, the only thing that ruined the whole experience was those commercial stuff going on at the seaside. You even have to pay RM10 for a chair! Other than that we did have a really great time there:)
As for dinner, we went to Thirstday which was locted just by the beach. REMINDER: the food is really expensive but the view was great. Don't miss out the coconut milkshake because it is literally heavenly! And the carbonara too! Do take a look in the menu though as there are a lot of interesting names for the dishes XD
Day 3
We actually planned to go for a hike early in the morning but it was raining so we changed our route to Oriental Village. It is exactly like a theme park. We went on the cable car but unfortunately it was way too foggy up there since it was raining so we couldn't get the full view of Langkawi. We were basically drenched from the rain!!
After that we went to the 3D art gallery, snapping pictures away.
Nearly forgot how nice the ice cream tasted.
Day 4
Today is our last day in Langkawi! We visited Becky's primary school SJK(C)ChungHwa.
Last but not least, we went for the Eagle Square where the statue stood.
After that,we packed our stuff and left for the airport. That is basically our journey in a wrap!
Thanks for reading guyzz.
Deep thanks to Becky and her parents for planning all these wonderful activities and actually providing us a place to sleep!!! p/s: soorrrryyy we know we left our stuff there :P
